Perhaps, Love

okay show. not very fantastic. a bit empty. singings not that good either. but i think the acting is decent. bittersweet.

but i still like 周迅. she is pretty, isn't she?

click on any of the pictures to see a larger one.

pretty yeah?

SAW II IS FUCKING NICE!!

this show is damn good man. both the first and the sequel are freaking mind blowing! but not for the weak hearted though. and i meant it. this show is fucking gross.... damn bloody gory. and no pun intended when i say "damn bloody gory". fuck man, and i think there is going to be a third episode. why? cos the story ended with a successor.

wa lan eh... i fucking love this show man. incredible!

and u noe what? this show was filmed in a freaking 25 days!

u can take a look at the casts and some reviews here -> http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0432348/

i forgot to mention...

that chee bye sunny msged me for money. fuck lah. he still thinks he is my staff sergeant meh? nabei chee bye. msg oso msg wrongly. kanna... when did i get myself an english name "Adrian"?

"Yo... Adrian ssg sunny here... May need a small litte urgent assistance from ya... Ha... U got 100 to spare temporary? Need to pass to my dad first. I am currently in KL. Pay u back when i come back on thurs. =). Let meet up for coffee and i return you. Catch up as well...."

he got the cheek to mention "ssg". i tot when u needed help from someone else, u dun show ur rank? Still "Ha" somemore. very funny meh? Always your dad. everytime your dad. but i tot itz because u bet heavily in soccer? and lost terribly too? so ur dad bet too? meet up on thurs yeah? thurs u night's off ah? who u trying to kid? adrian somemore.... type one sms liaoz might as well mass send to everyone else in the phone. as long as you hit one, u earn liaoz.

that chee bye tackle teck yeow many times liaoz. teck yeow was nice to lend him once and now he keep asking liaoz.

Deuce Bigalow, European Gigolo

seems like i've been catching quite a few shows recently huh? yupz... next on the list are Saw II and Perhaps, Love dvds. wanna watch Fearless too. waiting for Munich.

feeling........

bored.

nothing much to do. chinese new year is juz 40 mins away. tv showing stupid variety.

tried studying but no mood. one whole day read 3 pages of textbook. feeling like a loser studying during CNY.

a bit sianz seeing other pple enjoying themselves in sep. feeling a bit regretted not taking up the penn state sep when given a chance. but i oso noe if i go, i might not feel that fantastic either, knowing i m spending so much of my parents money. i've grown quite out of taking their money.

feel like slacking. but i know even though my cap is fucking high and i m fucking safe in my first class, there is no way i can fully slack down. cos i know i will feel like shit if my result really turn out to be like shit. call it a man's pride and ego. esp for me. am quite a competitive person. esp in areas i know i m far better than anyone else.

feel like touring. want to see the world. want to go traveling. but still in the midst of deciding whether to go for VIP. got quite a good VIP chance.

feel like going to watch movie. but dun feel like asking pple along. then lazy oso. cny eve shldn't do such things oso. haha... now like wasting time away like that. feel like fuck.

consonance oso like dunnoe what... haiiz....

anyway, happy chinese new year.

oh, got one good thing though. received 2 ang baos liaoz. one from my parents, one from my brother. the one that got married one. feeling weird receiving ang bao from them. hahaha.....

memoirs of geisha

not a bad show. i think i like it.

the show was beautifully filmed. very nice screen shots. the colours are very vibrant, and quite a few scenes are captured very skillfully. i like one scene when chiyo was powdering herself. focused on the flying powders at first, then zoom to the brush, and then the camera shifted left to chiyo powdering herself. very nice scene, i feel.

the dance wasn't that fantastic though. i read from some reviews that the critic was quite absorbed by the dance, but i was quite indifferent.

the story was okay though. no climax. but still interesting. i dun really find it boring even though there wasn't a really clear climax.

i like the dialogue on the eel and the cave. quite farnie. but it wld have been better if they kept it a little bit more subtle without the mentioning of "guy" and "girl". also, after the war, pumpkin suddenly developed american slang. hahahaha... damn farnie.

i oso like the little girl that cast as young chiyo. she is really quite pretty, and has a very nice pair of eyes. she will definitely grow up to be a beautiful woman.

the show is largely about the war between women though. i was at first, before the show, thinking that it will be zhang ziyi or sayuri, that takes pains and fight for herself to step up to the position of geisha. but in the end, it turns up that she was more of a puppet. not exactly a puppet, but she was juz following orders, and was simply lucky.

all in all, i like the show. 2 hrs and 20 mins. is the kinda show that shld be caught in a cinema theatre. football hooligan can watch at home though. football hooligan is juz exciting, nothing much for you to catch in terms of effects and stuffs.

Wednesday, January 25, 2006

juz when i told myself i gotta wake up my idea...

someone jio me to go watch movie... hahahha.... so in the end i din study anything today at all.

went to watch this show called football hooligan, but i think it is better known as greenstreet hooligan in other countries.

it is an M18 show. and i think, yeah, itz a nice show. worth watching. entertaining and exciting.

wake up my idea

wah lan eh... i almost died of doing tutorials.

chee bye, was a bit too slack liaoz. 2 weeks of slacking, piled up my work until i suddenly feel very shack. i started to work on sunday... night even though i wanted to start in the morning. so from sunday night to tonight, i've finished 3 tutorials. 1 day 2 nights.

like very fast hor?

kanna sai... i almost died. seeing how much work i've piled up, realisation hits me. nabei... that level of slackness will kill me. oh, juz to explain. some of my tutorials need to hand in one. or otherwise, got class participation marks. so lan lan also must do and then can talk cock.

today was the first day i left school at 10pm for this sem. i wanted to come home and continue on my 3rd chapter of managerial accounting textbook. in the end, until now i haven't start. home is really not a good place for me to work.

aiyah, fuck lah. dun do 3 questions lah. sleep.

Sunday, January 22, 2006

've gotten a comment from a person called darrelgreene5149. it was the exact same comment left on weisi's blog too. inquisitive huh? hahahahaha..... he asked me (and weisi too) to visit his blog at http://www.juicyfruiter.blogspot.com. since he left the comment to advertise, i was thinking i might as well leave it straight in my entry. anyway not many pple visit this blog. he wun get much traffic if he desires so much for them.

anyway, 2 weeks of slacking... actually last week i got study a bit, but still, i am left with tremendous amount of overdue notes and coming to be dued tutorials. hong gan.... fuck lah.

i still haven't watch Memoirs of Geisha. gotta quickly cleared my tutorials and find a day to watch it. heard In Her Shoes like not bad. got time will watch.

anyway, so far my most interesting module is HR. chee bye.... Engineering students like HR lesson. see how cocked up my engineering lecturers are. HR lesson interesting cos got chio bu and got very funny lecturer. classroom style lecture, funny and eloquent teacher, and interestingly cute SINGAPOREAN gals makes such a module bearable, and in fact, intriguing.

why i stressed on the word SINGAPOREAN? cos my fucking department, or rather my fucking batch in my department got not even 1 SINGAPOREAN female in my class! even last sem, my engineering professionalism class, the whole fucking class is GUYS. whahahahaha.... sibei farnie.

Harry Potter and the Globet of Fire

is really quite a crappy show. i think it is quite boring, and quite a few points are different from the original. but partly, i think itz because the original story was too lengthy. it will be quite difficult to capture so many details in a movie. but, the movie was cocked up cos it tried to put too much things inside. in the end, it ended up being quite shallow and hollow, cos everything was so slip-shop.

anyway, i think i really need to get started to at least read something. i've not done a single thing, academically, for the whole week. and now, i've got 200 pages of stuffs piled up to read.

sickening. 6 modules not as slack liaoz.

Saturday, January 14, 2006

i've gotten managerial accounting

sui sui~~ i got the sixth module that i wanted to take on round 3E.... si bei gei yan. last round. now my general account has 0 points. whahahahaha~~~~

second movie for the year... and the week too

if you wanna watch some decent acting, then this show is okay.

if you are patient, and love shows involving life and emotions, interaction between 2 persons, then this show is okay.

if you love maths, and have had exhiliration in solving maths questions, then this show.... okay.

if you wanna watch some decent plot, then this show is NOT okay.

overall, not a very good show. not my worst though. quite crappy, and not much of storyline. pretty shallow and no depth too. but acting is quite decent.

madness....

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

don't you think this is madness? look at the min successful bid (second column from the right).

i realised this is a common sight in round 3B.....

hahahhahaha... what a scene man! 4200 points for a module. that person better be in his last sem, or fna1002 be the last module he/she needs from general account. otherwise, that person is gone fucked.

nus lotsa siao kia with too much points...

slack sem

attended 2 meaningless lecture. the first one was QEII. the lecturer gave us a very brief overview of QE II. too brief. din learn anything useful at all. the only that i brought out with me after lecture is,

"Reliability is equal to Quality over Time."

...... okay. then so what? never say.

the next one is even more meaningless. Living with Mathematics. The "cheemest" thing this lecture has to offer is this.

"All bird can fly. A swallow is a bird. So a swallow can fly. Is this argument valid?"
The answer is.... no. why? cos the first statement is untrue. Not all birds can fly.

That is called a syllogism (dunnoe spelled correctly or not). For syllogism to be fundamentally correct, both the 2 beginning statements must be true to give a meaningfull, and always true conclusion.

The next most cheem thing is, consider the following statement true or false.
"This statement is false." Is this statement true or false?

If it is true, then it says it must be false. If it is false, then it (which is "this statement") cannot be false and so must be true.

This is known as a self-contradictory statement.

I shall end off this entry with a popular paradox, the Russell's Paradox.

"In a certain village, there is a certain barber who shaves all those who do not shave themselves. Does the barber shave himself?"

yay... what a fulfilling lecture.

end of holiday

spent the last day of the holiday slacking at home. tidied up my mp3 quite a bit. put in all the track info liaoz. sui!

anyway, i've read some books this holidays.

Harry Potter and The Philosopher Stone
Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and The Prisoners of Azkaban
Harry Potter and The Globet of Fire
Harry Potter and The Order of Phoenix
Tuesday with Morrie

I've still have Oliver Twist unread though.

Watched a lot of DVDs too. but i din keep track of those since i've watched really quite a lot.

holiday finished so fast... sibei sianz. tml is the start of a new sem! a slack sem. now i have only 5 modules. hope i get my managerial accounting!

Friday, January 06, 2006

yay!! i missed by 20 points for Managerial Accounting.

for that fucking 20 points, i need to replan.

i spent 600 for finance. now i m left with 192 points in my general account. what shld i bid for?

fuck!! never get managerial accounting.

nabei chee bye lah! fucking hell... sibei du lan. din get managerial accounting.

before the fucking close bidding started, the bidding is like this:
finance - 73/52 - min bid 404 (got jump to 442 at times)
managerial accounting - 30/34 - min bid 1 (all the fucking way was min bid 1)

when the whole round coming to a close, the bidding become like this:
finance - 80/52
managerial accounting 40/34

i've got only fucking 792 points in my general accounting. u tell me how i fucking allocate them to get them? i did my best, give a rough guess. i placed 712 for finance, 80 for managerial accounting. my friend placed 537 and din get finance. so the module cost around 538 - 712.

fuck lah! cheebye! why nus gives so fucking low points to engineering students in their fucking general account? 250 per sem only lei! then they freaking give us 750 points for programme account every sem, when we fucking only need 1 point a sem for each of our engineering module. why? cos engineering course have very strict curriculum! they bo bian every sem have to allocate them to us! then, for all our modules, we use 1 point. so? i left with tremedously large amount of programme account points, even when i squandered heavily, a total of around 1900, to get Principles of Economics and Financial Accounting. but why do i need to bid so high for these modules? not because they are fucking exceedingly popular. itz because we engineering students are competiting with engineering students for these 2 modules. there are some quota allocated to FOE. since we have a lot of points in programme account, we all (engineering students) juz whack, in the end paying high points for these 2 modules.

and so they ask us to learn widely rite? go take modules from other faculties rite? then dun give us points. chee bye! then how we fight with science students and arts students!?!?

du lan lah! have to replan....

woohoo~~ cleared my room

i've finally moved my fucking ass and cleared my room entirely. threw away quite a couple of stuffs. there are more that i can make do without, but i tot i will juz leave them there to collect dust since i've the space. juz in case mah.

however, i m still saddened by a constant irritating realisation/re-realisation that my fitness is no where to be found!! cheebye! where is my fucking gold fitness!?!?!

was bathing juz now, and i was telling myself. since i can get myself to become a freaking mugger, which is more than 360 degree change of my real personality, getting myself discipline and start a fitness regime shldn't be more difficult. rite now, i have only 1 early day in my schedule during term time, and thatz a 9am thursday.

from today onwards, i promise i will try to wake up early each morning to run. i want my $400 per ippt per year.

how come no puasa countdown!?

pple keep telling us dun be racist blah blah blah. and i juz heard abt a coming CNY countdown from tv.

hah! these few weeks so many countdowns. christmas, new year 2006, and going-to-be CNY.

then, how come hari raya puasa, or deepavali dun have countdown? hmm....

18 Tricks to Teach Your Body

"Soothe a burn, cure a toothache, clear a stuffed nose...
by Kate Dailey, Men's Health; Photograph by Michael Cogliantry; Illustrations by Headcase Design & Zohar Lazar"

some very gei yan tricks. to name a few:

2. Experience supersonic hearing!

If you're stuck chatting up a mumbler at a cocktail party, lean in with your right ear. It's better than your left at following the rapid rhythms of speech, according to researchers at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. If, on the other hand, you're trying to identify that song playing softly in the elevator, turn your left ear toward the sound. The left ear is better at picking up music tones.

3. Overcome your most primal urge!

Need to pee? No bathroom nearby? Fantasize about Jessica Simpson. Thinking about sex preoccupies your brain, so you won't feel as much discomfort, says Larry Lipshultz, M.D., chief of male reproductive medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine. For best results, try Simpson's "These Boots Are Made for Walking" video.

10. Unstitch your side!

If you're like most people, when you run, you exhale as your right foot hits the ground. This puts downward pressure on your liver (which lives on your right side), which then tugs at the diaphragm and creates a side stitch, according to The Doctors Book of Home Remedies for Men. The fix: Exhale as your left foot strikes the ground.

12. Make your heart stand still!

Trying to quell first-date jitters? Blow on your thumb. The vagus nerve, which governs heart rate, can be controlled through breathing, says Ben Abo, an emergency medical-services specialist at the University of Pittsburgh. It'll get your heart rate back to normal.

18. Read minds!

Your own! "If you're giving a speech the next day, review it before falling asleep," says Candi Heimgartner, an instructor of biological sciences at the University of Idaho. Since most memory consolidation happens during sleep, anything you read right before bed is more likely to be encoded as long-term memory.

GEK1505 Living with Mathematics

juz went thru the class rooster for this module, Living with Mathematics.

saw a few familiar names:

LIN RENJIE, NG JIN LEE, MA YAO, TAN SZE YING FELICITY, WENG BIYING, WOO QIAO LING, XU LIXIA, ZHUO CAITONG

well, doesn't mean anything anyway. i think i will still go lecture and tutorial on my own still.

prefer a loner lifestyle.

Google Trademark becomes Dots

i wonder what happens to the original trademark

mozilla firefox a bit weird...

i think i cannot see my newly posted entries is because of mozilla. hmmm.... until 5 mins ago, i still cannot see my previous 2 entries. then, i clicked on the "archivce" section, then i can see them!! i tot, "smthing must be wrong."

so, intuitively, i returned to the original webpage, and pressed "F5" (which refreshes the page current in view).

and after that, all my entries appears.

another problem is, mozilla often needs to load the whole page before i can proceed with the links on the page itself. so, if a particular webpage has lotsa pictures, i end up having to wait for a long time before i can click on the links and proceed to where i want. na bei.... limbei on modem. very slow to load the whole page at times. that makes me quite frustrated often.

AND! sometimes when i log in to blogger, the blue "Edit" button under the "Posting" section will be exceptionally elongated. again, pressing "F5" will then solve the problem. poor loading...

think i have to look out for the newest update on Mozilla Firefox browser liaoz. so stupid.

hmmm...

i wonder why blogger is taking such a long time to publish my post i wrote yesterday... (it has not publish them when i first wrote this post).

something must be wrong

face analysis?

this is what i put in the stupid face analysis test, which can be found here at http://www.faceanalyzer.com.

below is my results:

Race Analysis: 100% Chinese, 0% East Indian, 0% Middle Eastern, 0% Eastern European, 0% Southern European, 0% Anglo Saxon, 0% South East Asian, 0% Korean/Japanese

Personality Profile:
Intelligence – 6.6 – Very Intelligent
Risk – 4.8 – Low Risk
Ambition – 5.6 – Average Ambition
Gay Factor – 1.9 – Very Low Gay Factor
Honor – 5.9 – Average Honor
Politeness – 6.2 – Average Politeness
Income – 5.8 – $30,000 - $50,000
Sociability – 5.1 – Average Sociability
Promiscuity – 2.4 – Very Unpromiscuous

Celebmatch: OJ Simpson

Achetype: White Collar

Personality Profile:
You particularly enjoy the traditional way of life. Having drinks with your friends, attending parties and relaxing while watching TV are some of the simple pleasures you indulge in. You may also enjoy physical exercise. Your driving force is to retire as early as possible, so that you can do the things you enjoy more often. Your main source of ambition comes from this desire.

You dont particularly like your job but you do it without complaining. You realize that the income that it provides is essential to your lifestyle. You are friendly yet competitive with your co-workers. This competitiveness may lead you to squander your earnings to match other peoples' possessions.

You operate most effectively when there is a set power structure, and the lines of authority are clear. You know your place in the ranks, you play by the rules, and will deliver what is expected of you. You do not care for responsibility; you would rather be care free.

Your view of other types
You sometimes disagree with Boss types, but you respect them for the most part. You may even be envious of their lifestyles. You find Academic types boring and uptight. You have very little in common with them. However some White collar types may respect the accomplishments of certain Academic types. You think that Artist types are unrealistic and immature. You like interacting with Charmer types, and sometimes envy their charisma. You perceive Gambler types mostly as loners and untrustworthy. However, since you may have to interact with them on a daily basis you are not hostile to them. You believe Drifters are too lazy to work for a living but you sometimes feel pity for them.

Other types' view of you
Boss types may have some things in common with Blue collar types, but for the most part they only interact with you during the course of business. Academics see White collar types as unsuccessful versions of themselves, but because of work situations they may have to interact with you often. Artists do not interact with you, for they consider you to be a slave of conformity. Charmer types may associate with you; they find that the collar types are the people that mostly want to hang around them. To the Drifter types your repetitive routines seem boring; they would prefer having more fun and excitement. They may however enjoy the company of some Blue collar types.

so, do you believe in what it says?

not for me though... haha... cos i put Xiemin's photo up too and got crapped results.

okay, my egoistic self is at helm again.

juz posted my results for last sem, aka sem 5, on the right side of the blog. update my CAP score on my profile.

there was once i was thinking, wld i ever have more A+s than As? come to now, confirm cannot liaoz. nabei, last sem so tough. but i know there will be pple reading, and thinking, "cheebye lah! so tough still get 5As and 1A+." well, all i can say is, the results is out of my expectation. believe it or not, itz up to you.

for some reasons, whenever i say i really feel tough in nus, and the CAP is not good reflection of my capability, that i m really not as good as my CAP seems to be, nobody believe me. everyone thinking i am saying guai lan wei. fuck lah.

i always feel i dun deserve an A for a lot of modules. so, everytime before exams or results come out, i always think i wun do that well. then when results come out, it turns out to be better than what i expect, then pple think i act humble before that. nabei. thatz why i always say NUS cocked up. then fuck, nobody believes me. forget it. my results good i happy oso. can try to whack another ngee ann kongsi scholarship.

shiok, $6k, no bond, no obligation. i love them. if not for them, i will be in financial problem.

i've managed to push my CAP at 4.9 liaoz... sui sui 4.9. probably second in my batch now? dunnoe if pple like lixing, mu shi are above me though. but shuangjun confirm above bah.

so, what wld be my CAP next sem? stay tuned. prediction: will drop.
(now, somebody will think i m saying guai lan wei again. ha!)

wake up a bit sieh

drank yesterday again. slept at 3+am.

was to meet khee shian and pass him chiang mai photos. dragged myself up at 10:30am, and that idiot only reached at 12noon. na hiyah... otherwise can sleep a bit more. wake up a bit dizzy. hangover. heng only a bit. now okay liaoz. phew~~

sianz... later jacq's wedding. better dun drink again. na bei...

new year

think i m the only one that post stuffs regarding new year on the second day of the year... haha... thre are times when i juz feel like slacking and doing totally nothing and this is (rather, yesterday since itz past 12mn) one of those days.

and hence, the late post.

anyway, new year eve was spent in a rather, errm, "uneventful", slack, and directionless way. started having to pull myself up at
10am (mind you, i've been waking up at past noon everyday now), and get myself ready to meet deqiang, charlene, greg and ben for consonance meeting. and yep, so i went, with deqiang being surprised upon my arrival at serangoon mac, 15 mins late.

i had a new haircut, thatz why.

what makes me feel relaxed although i was late, was greg was even later. phew... hahha. he was around another 15 mins later than me bah.

so the meeting went on, first on the repertoire on coming concert, and things regarding registration. revised the constitution, and that was abt it for the meeting. yanhong pop out for a while though. she was on her way home from tuition.

the end of the meeting started a super slack and directionless day for me, charlene and deqiang. as i've brought laptop for the meeting, i wanted to go home to put the laptop first. then, while walking, we discussed where shall we go eat lunch. coming to no conclusion, in the end we end up eating at serangoon central kopitham, with me still carrying my laptop. we turned direction from my hse when we are juz abt to leave the interchange. after lunch, came another big hurdle.

what to do after lunch?

tot of movies. so we went back serangoon mac to tap wireless and check out timing. results => no movie to watch at all at that timing. "Perhaps, Love" is out of scene. then, we dwell at mac for another 15-30 mins, and finally decided they will come to my hse to drink vodka and watch dvd.

so we did just that. drank vodka, watched dvd.
台北晚九朝五. the movie is juz as directionless. since it is in chinese, and no subtitles, i guessed charlene ng probably caught less than half of what the show is about. the show ended, and we again, have to discuss what to do after that. charlene said she never go deqiang's hse before. so, it was decided, after dinner we go deqiang hse.

deqiang went home first to eat dinner with his mother. charlene stayed over for dinner.

reaching deqiang's hse, we end up helping him download spyware and adware removal softwares. hahahahaha! sibei cock up. we were also bored until, we played a prank on yanhong. paiseh paiseh~~

again, we dunnoe what to do. after 30 mins of 射雕又英雄传, we decided we go down to esplanade to try meet cheryl, and watch the fireworks.

before we reach esplanade, at dhoby ghaut, we started to think whether was it a good idea to leave the house afterall. too many pple, and all 3 of us dun like crowd. but we are already out, so we juz moved on.

reached esplanade, movement was sluggish. too many pple. and to make it better, lotsa blaglah. yay! so happy. me and deqiang keep singing 孙燕姿的神奇。

“好像每个人都有特别气味,闻了才发现那是咖哩作祟”

we squeezed ourselves thru the crowd, and eventually stopped at opposite Fullerton Hotel. we wanted to leave by raffles place mrt, cos we predicted that everyone will in fact try to exit by Cityhall mrt when the whole thing ended. with a stroke of luck, the fireworks actually was displayed near where we were! hahaha... deqiang and i was joking before the fireworks that it might end up behind us. then the pple at esplanade, and at the railing at the waterfront there will sianz diaoz. in the end, i think they really sian diaoz! reach so early, then get fuck up place! pple like us, reach so late, then in the end caught the best views.

and of cos, the firework was awesome. had a very good experience of looking firework live and upclose when i was in army helping out on national day. this time, the experience was juz as good.

with fireworks ended, we started to try to get back to mrt. Fullerton Hotel's plants got all trampled. hahaha... we were one of those that did that. back at mrt, boredom ensues again, and we in the end started to play "chee kor bah" and some other crappy games in the mrt.

sibei jiat lat.

and that, was our new year day eve. how abt yours?
